Who we are
Parendipity, Inc. ("Parendipity," "we," "us," or "our") builds software designed to make family life simpler. Our platform helps parents and caregivers bring together calendars, emails, and activity schedules so that everything important is in one place.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information—what we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe—when you use our websites, mobile applications, and any integrations you choose to connect.

What this policy covers
This policy applies to our website at parendipity.ai and our applications and APIs. It applies to information you provide directly, information we collect automatically, and information we access through third party integrations that you authorize, for example Google Gmail and Google Calendar.
Information we collect
Account information. Name, email address, password or single sign on identifier, team or household name.
Usage data. Device and browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location, timestamps, diagnostic logs, and crash reports.
Content you choose to store. Notes, settings, event metadata, and similar user provided content.
Google data that you authorize. If you connect Google, we may request scopes such as calendar.readonly to read calendars and events metadata, and, if enabled later, gmail.readonly to read message metadata and selected message bodies necessary to power specific user facing features. We do not access Google data without your consent.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the service you request
- Personalize features and surfaces, for example which calendars to show
- Provide support and communicate about the service
- Monitor, prevent, and detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
Our Google API Limited Use commitments
If you connect a Google account, we follow Google API Services User Data Policy, Limited Use requirements.
- We use Google data only to provide or improve user facing features in the app, and only for the user who granted access.
- We do not sell Google data.
- We do not allow humans to read Google data except when you give consent, when required for security or compliance, or when needed to diagnose a specific issue.
- We do not use Google data for advertising.
- We only share Google data with subprocessors as needed to provide the service, subject to confidentiality and security obligations.
Sharing of information
Service providers. Cloud hosting, logging, analytics, and customer support tools that process data on our behalf under contracts that protect your information.
Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
Legal. If required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your Parendipity account information and the activity data we derive from your connected services (such as Gmail and Google Calendar) for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service.
You can stop future access to your Google data at any time by revoking Parendipity's access from your Google Account settings.
If you want us to delete your Parendipity account and associated data, email support@parendipity.ai from the Google account you used to sign in and include "Delete my Parendipity account" in the subject line. After we verify your request, we will delete your account and associated data from our active systems and confirm by email, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain certain records.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that are appropriate to the nature of the data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object or restrict certain processing. Contact us at support@parendipity.ai to exercise these rights. California residents and residents of the EEA, the UK, and similar jurisdictions have additional rights which we honor.
Children
Our services are intended for household decision makers and are not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new date above and, if changes are material, provide additional notice.
How to delete or revoke access
To delete your Parendipity account and associated data, email support@parendipity.ai from the Google account you used to sign in and include "Delete my Parendipity account" in the subject line. After we verify your request, we will delete your account and associated data from our active systems and confirm by email.
You can revoke Parendipity's Google access at any time from your Google Account settings under Security → Third-party access. Revoking access stops future data access, while emailing us at support@parendipity.ai ensures your existing Parendipity data is deleted.
