How to Get Every Team App Into One Family Calendar (TeamSnap, GameChanger, SportsEngine and More)

Thursday•October 8, 2026By Myles Grote

Step-by-step: pull TeamSnap, GameChanger, SportsEngine, LeagueApps and PlayMetrics into one family calendar, and catch the changes that only arrive by email.

Short answer: Turn on email notifications in every team app, subscribe your family calendar to each app's calendar feed, and then let one system catch the coach emails, PDFs and last-minute changes that the feeds miss. With Parendipity, that last step happens automatically from Gmail, and everything lands in one Google Calendar that both parents (and your Skylight) can see.

If your family has a soccer team on TeamSnap, a baseball team on GameChanger, a club on SportsEngine and a dance studio that only sends email, you are not managing a schedule. You are managing four apps, three logins and a group text. This guide shows you how to get all of it into one place.

Why every team uses a different app

Team apps are chosen by the league, the club or the coach, not by parents. Each one is built to run that organization: rosters, payments, availability, messages. None of them is built to show a parent everything their family has going on this week.

That means a family with two kids in three activities can easily end up with:

  • TeamSnap for rec soccer or hockey
  • GameChanger for baseball or softball
  • SportsEngine for a club or travel team
  • LeagueApps or PlayMetrics for a league or academy
  • Plain email, a PDF or a website for everything else (dance, swim, music, scouts)

Step 1: Turn on email notifications in every team app

This is the step most parents skip, and it matters most. Calendar feeds carry the schedule. Emails carry the changes: a moved practice, a new field, a rainout, a tournament hotel block.

In each app, open your notification settings and make sure schedule changes, new events and team messages go to the email address you actually use. If you co-parent, check that both of you get them, or that they go to one shared inbox.

Step 2: Subscribe your family calendar to each team's calendar feed

Most team apps offer a calendar link you can add to Google Calendar or Apple Calendar. Look for an option labeled something like Sync Calendar, Subscribe, Export or Add to Calendar on the team's schedule screen. The app gives you a link (often starting with "webcal://" or ending in ".ics").

To add it to Google Calendar:

  1. Copy the calendar link from the team app.
  2. On a computer, open Google Calendar.
  3. Next to Other calendars, click + and choose From URL.
  4. Paste the link and click Add calendar.
  5. Rename it (for example, "Emma Soccer") and give it a color.

Repeat for each team. If your league or studio does not offer a feed, skip it. Step 3 covers those.

Two things to know about feeds:

  • Subscribed calendars do not update instantly. Google refreshes them on its own schedule, which can lag by hours. A same-day field change may not show up in time.
  • Feeds only include what the coach or admin enters into the app. Snack duty, the tournament packet PDF and "arrive 45 minutes early" usually live in emails, not the feed.

Step 3: Catch everything the feeds miss

This is where the manual work usually lives. Coach emails, league newsletters, PDF season schedules, registration deadlines, picture day, uniform orders. A feed will not pick these up, so someone has to go through every email and type it in.

You can do that by hand, or you can let Parendipity do it.

How Parendipity handles it:

  1. Connect your Gmail from the Parendipity iOS app. It takes about a minute.
  2. Parendipity monitors your inbox for schedule-related emails from coaches, leagues, schools and team apps, and extracts dates, times, locations and changes.
  3. Events sync to your Google Calendar and to your co-parent's view. Anything that follows your Google Calendar, like a Skylight, stays current too.
  4. Action items get surfaced. Payments, permission slips and RSVPs show up before the deadline instead of after it.
  5. Something slipped through? Forward the email to your Parendipity address and it gets picked up.

Because it works from the emails your team apps already send, there is nothing to set up per team. New season, new coach, new app: if it emails you, it is covered.

Step 4: Decide who is driving

A calendar tells you what is happening. It does not tell you who is taking whom. Once every game and practice is in one place, assign each pickup and dropoff. In Parendipity, every event has an assign button for each parent or caregiver, so both parents always know who has the kids. For rides shared with other families, see our guide to coordinating youth sports carpools.

Step 5: Do a five-minute Sunday check

Even with automation, it is worth one quick look at the week ahead. Parendipity's Sunday Planner lays out the coming week across every kid and activity so you can spot conflicts, set reminders and settle the driving before Monday.

Team app by team app: what to look for

  • TeamSnap (rec soccer, hockey, lacrosse): offers a calendar feed from the team schedule. Coach messages, availability requests and schedule changes also arrive by email.
  • GameChanger (baseball, softball): offers a calendar feed from the team schedule. Game changes and team messages also arrive by email.
  • SportsEngine (clubs, travel teams, governing bodies): offers a calendar feed from the team or organization calendar. Registration, tournament details and club announcements usually arrive by email.
  • LeagueApps (leagues, camps, clinics): check the schedule screen for a calendar option. Registration, schedule releases and league news usually arrive by email.
  • PlayMetrics (soccer clubs and academies): check the schedule screen for a calendar option. Training changes and club announcements usually arrive by email.
  • Email, PDF or website only (dance, swim, music, scouts, school teams): no feed. Everything arrives by email.

Menu names change as apps update, so if you cannot find the option, search the app's help center for "calendar sync."

Frequently asked questions

Can I see TeamSnap, GameChanger and SportsEngine in one calendar?
Yes. Subscribe your Google or Apple calendar to each app's calendar feed, and you will see all of them in one view. To catch the changes and details that only arrive by email, use a tool like Parendipity that picks up those emails and adds them for you.

Why doesn't my team app schedule match what the coach emailed?
Feeds only reflect what someone enters in the app, and subscribed calendars refresh on a delay. Coaches often email a change before (or instead of) updating the app.

Do I need to stop using TeamSnap or GameChanger?
No. Keep using them for RSVPs, team chat and payments. The goal is to stop checking each one to figure out your family's week.

What about activities that do not use an app?
Dance studios, swim clubs, music lessons and school teams often only send email or a PDF. Parendipity picks those up from Gmail the same way it picks up team app emails.

Does this work for both parents?
Yes. Parendipity syncs to a shared view for both parents, so you stop forwarding emails to each other and asking "did you see this?"

The bottom line

Feeds get the schedule into one calendar. Emails carry everything that changes. If you want one calendar you can trust, you need both, and you do not have to be the person stitching them together.
