You feed it by hand
Every practice and lunch menu, typed in or forwarded one email at a time. When the coach moves practice, you do it again.
Pair any tablet, or any TV with a web browser, and the schedule shows itself: every kid, every ride, every school lunch, and whatever still needs a grown-up.
The Wall runs on the Parendipity app, which works today. Start your free 30-day trial and your week will be filled in when the Wall is ready.
Every practice and lunch menu, typed in or forwarded one email at a time. When the coach moves practice, you do it again.
New hardware for the kitchen, and a yearly fee on top for the parts that save you time.
Practice is on the screen in Wren's color. Who's driving her there is still a group text.
Parendipity is the family logistics app behind the Wall. It pulls the schedule out of school and team emails, sorts out who's driving, checks the lunch menu against what each kid will eat, finds a sitter when you're both booked, and keeps both parents on the same week. The Wall puts all of it where everyone can see it.
Any tablet, or any TV with a web browser. Nothing to install.
Six characters, once. The screen never signs in to anything.
The week updates itself from the inbox Parendipity already monitors. Nobody types anything.
One row per child, so Wren can find her own week without reading Theo's. A digital family calendar the kids can actually use.
Every ride carries a name, whichever parent or carpool family took it in the app.
The school menu for each day, and whether each kid will eat it, so the lunchbox question is answered before anyone asks.
An unowned ride or an unsigned form stays visible to both of you until someone takes it in the app.
If it has a web browser, it works. No new hardware.
Apple TV is not supported yet.
Included with every Parendipity plan. No extra subscription.
Keep using it. Parendipity already syncs to Google Calendar, so your events show up on most calendar screens today. The Wall adds the parts a calendar does not carry: who's driving, what's for lunch, and what's still unowned.
| A tablet with Google Calendar | Parendipity Wall | |
|---|---|---|
| Signs in to | A parent's Google account, on a screen sitters and guests can reach | Nothing. You pair it once with a code from the app. |
| Laid out by | Whose calendar each event is on | Each kid, one row |
| Rides | The event, with no driver | A name on every ride |
| Lunch | Not shown | Today's school lunch, and whether each kid will eat it |
| Open items | Not shown | What still needs a grown-up, until someone takes it |
| Where events come from | Whatever you, or an assistant app, add | School and team emails, kept current when plans change |

No. You pair it from the app. The screen never signs in to anything.
Not at first. It starts as a screen everyone can read. A one-tap "done" for kids is planned.
Unpair it from Settings in the app and the screen goes blank.
No. The app is where you decide things. The Wall is where everyone sees them.
No. It's included with every Parendipity plan.
Not yet. Pick Apple TV on the form if that's your screen, so we know.
